A little about me...

• Born and raised in Istanbul, I'm a Turkish-English translator with a Master’s degree in the field of English Language Teaching. I have expertise in translating academic articles, editing, proofreading, and translating children’s books.
• I am currently working with a Notary Public where I do translate documents from English to Turkish, from Turkish to English.
• I have worked with numerous academic staff across Turkey. With the rise of remote work following the pandemic, I continue working remotely as a freelancer.
• My passion is translating academic papers to introduce Turkish studies worldwide. I believe my job offers foreigners an opportunity to review Turkish academicians' studies. I have an endless desire to learn from cradle to grave.
• I enjoy reading, searching for new subjects, and investigating a topic.

📖 A little more about me

My translating experience taught me that volunteering for something that serves humanity is the most satisfying thing in the world. As I am so eager to add some meaning to my life, I decided to do volunteer work according to my skill- translating. So, I joined TED Talks, which is a worldwide-known nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas through small but powerful talks on every subject as a translator. I have translated 35 videos into Turkish. I also contributed to Coursera online courses as a volunteer translator by translating three full courses from English to Turkish. In addition, I worked in wikiHow Turkish for some time as a translator with a contract. I was one of the first Turkish translators of the wikiHow Turkish project.
